Hawg Handlers

I love these jobs, getting paid to draw. This is what I eventually would like to end up doing towards retirement…lol, no more school or upgrading and no worrying about your code being compliant or what it looks like on other peoples computers.
This is a packaging label that I illustrated for Hawg Handlers which is a fishing bait product. The client’s vision was a hog holding up a large mouth bass, I was hooked right after finding out that I was going to be drawing a pig holding something no pun intended…lol.
Meadowvale print work

This is some print work I did from way back in early mid 2001 when I was just about to finish college feeling like a caged animal and wanting to go out in the world and use all I had learnt in school the last two years.
This work was for a band called Meadowvale and it was a massive first project because they needed everything from a logo to a website and everything in between and on top of all that it was to be done low budget because struggling musicians are almost as poor as struggling designers…lol
This is the project I cut my teeth on; I wore many hats, drank lots of beer, probably damaged my hearing but I also learned very valuable lessons due to the amount of responsibility I was given which is almost unheard of fresh out of school.
The band was pretty successful for a little while and did quite a few gigs (that’s band talk) eventually pressing a CD, making a music video which actually got played on Much Music for a week or two and then later on as most bands do they broke up.
So that is the “G” rated version of my first real graphic design work, you can also check out some of the web work I did for them as well here.
